1 / 2Cherry Cove Park
📍 Bixby North, CA
Small, quiet neighborhood park in Lakewood fully enclosed by fencing with climbing structures and a zip line. Free entry. No dedicated parking lot — street parking on surrounding residential roads. No dogs permitted.
*Edit: I didn’t realize dogs actually aren’t allowed at this park. I saw the sign after I went back. Very sad because it was perfect for him!* Very cute hidden park. I was dog sitting a pup who doesn’t get along with other dogs so I needed to find a small secluded park. This one was perfect! We were the only ones there on a Sunday too! Everything was pretty clean, except for some food trash that people decided not to clean up after themselves. Please keep the parks clean! :)
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with school-age children who want a peaceful, uncrowded playground experience. The zip line suits kids with adult help for reaching the bar. The secluded setting and full fencing make it easy to supervise young children. No dogs permitted and no parking lot — factor both into visit planning.

“Nice park in residential community. You do not see it from the main street. In fact there is no sign showing park from main street. The park is completely fenced. We entered thru the small gate in front. Several slopes for walking up and down. Also picnic tables located in different places. Sandy playground with 2 swings for older kids and 2 for younger kids. No slides but a climbing area with bars and rope. Stairs to walk across from side to side of the covered structure. Have monkey bars in large circle formation and a very small zip line. The zip line has no way for the kids to enter onto it. You have to hold them up to reach the bar every time they want to use it. (Only negative about the equipment). Great place to walk around and saw couple of older residences walking their dogs. The residents can enter thru 2 other entrances from their streets and there is a water fountain. Grounds were very well maintained. No covered picnic area and no baseball field or basketball court. Nice park for the residential area and my 7 yr old great niece did enjoy playing there for about 2.5 hrs.”
