Had a wonderful time at the Dallas Zoo. Parking was interesting, but once able to find parking garage everything went well. We purchased wild pass to feed giraffe and it did not disappoint, well worth it. Our son had a fun time and we were pleased with renovations. Would recommend

Best for families with children of any age who want a full day of animal encounters. The giraffe feeding wild pass is a standout add-on for kids. Plan around the monorail safari early in the visit before lines grow. Sensory Friendly Morning in May suits families needing a calmer environment.

β€œLove coming to this zoo especially with my family. The illumination night is so beautiful and colorful for me and my wife and kids, but I wanted to let everyone know that when you come stop by the gift shop hit up Samuel for some drinks if he’s in. Great guy and wonderful service.”

β€œMy sister took her grandsons and I in the morning. She has a yearly pass and this entities her to other amenities. Like the boys chose to ride horses that were bound to a circular path. After this we went and took the Monorail Safari so we could view these animals before the adults walked and the boys ran over there. Imagine you are going to Africa, protected by a hat with gauze to protect from stinging bugs, dressed in air- breathing clothes so you can see large animals like lions and elephants. Or if these are too frightening, see the Primates, large and small, you watch them, they watch you. Boys love creepy crawling things like snakes and of course they study their habitats, trying to figure out " Is that a twig or snake ? " My sister and I want to see " cute animals," so all 7 of us head over to the Koala habitat. The animals are high in the trees but we can see them. We decide it's time to have refreshments and we do so, having cold drinks. It's good to sit down, even if it means for a short time. Again we head out to see " Tigers Oh My," as the adults tigers are active, walking around, and coming close to the glass. Then we head over to the children's playground, where my sister and I sit, keeping watchful eyes on 5 boys running here and there. It is time for us to leave. We haven't seen everything, but with a yearly pass we can always come back and pretend we are somewhere in the world seeing animals. There is an admission fee. But I think the yearly pass is good too. This Park has a large parking lot. The zoo has shaded areas and the main part of the zoo has sidewalks. It's a nice place to visit. And later we did go back. If you're around the Dallas area, this is a nice excursion for adults and children.”
