1 / 2Dennis the Menace Park
đ Downey, CA
Large fenced playground in Downey with separate areas for toddlers and older kids, plus picnic tables, BBQs, and a single controlled entry point for added supervision ease.
This is a great park to take my kids, specifically bcuz of the playground. It has a pretty large playground. Plenty of things for my kids to play on and keep themselves busy. It does get kinda busy here. A lot of people coming and going all day long. They have bathrooms that are fairly clean and decent. There are also plenty of picnic tables. The only negative aspect of this park, which is very minor, is that its right next to the 605 fwy so coming here to find peace and quiet like you can at other parks is out of the question, but its doesn't keep me from coming back.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of mixed ages who want a well-equipped, fenced playground with clear sight lines. The single entrance design is a genuine asset for keeping track of kids. Weekday mornings are significantly calmer â afternoons and weekends attract large crowds.
