Rivera Park
đ El Rancho, CA
Spacious park with a large playground, walking paths suited for bikes and roller skates, shaded picnic tables, and baseball fields. Free entry and ample parking make it easy for a full afternoon out.
It was a nice afternoon. My child and I love going here. The amount of space to run around, is much needed. We love the walk path too for roller skating, and riding bike. We started going here for the playground, but mainly so that my child can use the scooter peacefully. After rescuing 2 cute kittens, that's when things shifted. We began to meet wonderful residents and have built lasting friendships. Life journey has taken us to other areas throughout L.A. but we will not forget the warm hearts here. We just started coming back to the park, as another set of fur babies need rescue. The resources are there. Please consider not dumping kittens at this park or anywhere. There have been coyote sightings. It's best to post pics of the kittens online for a rescue to pick up. Then seek help to fix mom cat to stop her reproducing and prevent the repeated cycles of dumping innocent animals just anywhere.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with mixed-age kids who want room to roam and ride. The walking paths reward kids who bring wheels, and the shaded picnic area suits families who want to settle in for a few hours. Toddlers are comfortable here with pram-friendly paths throughout.

âThis was my first time here. The park is pretty large and it has a lot for the kids to do. It also seems to be safe and well managed. You should check it out.â
