“Had a great first experience at this gym. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Gym wasn’t overly busy on a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of space for everyone. We only really used the auto belays and had a good time. I will definitely return.”

“Great gym! Smaller that it looks online. There is 5 or 6 auto belays, about 10 top rope stations, and a fair space for bouldering. All this packed into a pretty small space. It's so tight that some routes are not available if someone is climbing the next station over. Overall the staff was friendly and the space is clean.”

Formerly Vertical Extreme, Downingtown Rock Gym is a community-based indoor climbing facility in Chester County with over 5,000 sq ft of climbing surface. The gym features five to six auto-belays, approximately ten top-rope stations, a bouldering area, and walls with overhangs, aretes, chimneys, and caves. Routes are refreshed regularly. Beginner lessons through lead climbing certifications are offered for adults and youth.
