1 / 2Family Arcade LA/ Family Amusement Corporation
π East Hollywood, CA
A classic arcade experience with over 40 years of history, featuring pinball, air hockey, fighting games, and basketball in a retro neon setting with unlimited play pricing.
Can't say enough good things about this spot. I had a day to myself while in town for work and decided to check this place out. The staff and operator were incredibly friendly. It feels like walking into a proper 80s arcade. I felt like I was on a movie set. I absolutely loved the aesthetics and vibe of this place. They have a fun selection of pinball, arcade and novelty machines like boxing, basket ball etc. Everything except claw machines with prizes are on free play for a flat entry fee that's good for the entire day. I would absolutely come back here next time in downtown LA. I had a blast here and it was a highlight of my trip.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older kids and teens who appreciate classic arcade games and can make a full day of it. The $25 all-day rate is excellent value if you stay for hours, but maintenance issues with controls may frustrate serious gamers. Perfect for nostalgic parents wanting to share retro gaming with their children.

βThis place is great. I've been coming here for years. You pay a flat fee, for all day. Unlimited games. They are classic games...race games, fight games, pinball, air hockey, basketball, skee ball, ninja turtles, dance dance revolution, punching bag, shooting , motorcycle, skateboard, guitar hero, claw machines ( you pay separately for this game) and the guy that works there is really cool. I had a blast with my 15 year old son. We will be back very soon!!β

βFree parking behind the building, the place was clean, has free bathrooms, and is open super late (1am I think). Downside (or upside) is thereβs only one pricing option, and thatβs $25 all ages for all day arcade gaming. So you have to make it a day trip to make it worth it. Game selection is pretty good, but because itβs all free play it gets a little annoying walking up to a pinball machine and seeing people leave a game 1/2 played. The guy working the door was super nice, wish they took cards but itβs cash only with an ATM on site.β

βThis arcade is well priced with a flat rate for unlimited play. However, if you are trying to go to play the Bandai Namco racing game, expect to wait a looong time. They have a verity of old and new games, including air hockey. Tuesdays are $25 dollars! Good bang for your buck.β
