1 / 2Greater Heights Climbing Gym
đ Fitchburg, WI
Greater Heights offers bouldering, auto-belay lanes, and top rope climbing in Fitchburg, WI. No belay certification needed for auto-belay access. Community voting shapes new route ratings across all difficulty levels.
Very friendly staff, willing to take the time necessary for certification tests. They set wall climb ratings for a lot of new routes with help based on community feedback (voting). Multiple auto-belays mean that you can climb if you're not top rope certified, and they offer bouldering as well as tall rope walls (40' height).
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids ready to try climbing independently via auto-belay â no partner certification needed. Older kids and teens who want top rope or lead climbing can test on-site. Beginners of all ages get a tailored orientation before touching a wall.

âVisited on a day pass and had a great time! The setting is fun and had a lot of nice varation ranging from technical face climbing to more burly overhang climbs. The staff was super kind. I appreciated how clear they were with the TR and lead testing procedure and what is and isn't allowed at their gym. We definitely will be back!â
