Its right below my school so great🌹
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children ages 2 through 10. The full perimeter gate is a significant advantage for parents of toddlers. The zipline and climbing wall give older kids a genuine physical challenge. Nearby parking requires a short walk from surrounding streets.

“Really unique new playground with everything. It’s fully gated with picnic tables, drinking fountain and bathrooms. It has 2 structures, one for ages 2-5 and the bigger one for kids over about 3. No sand or dirt, only padded or turf ground. Notably, the larger structure has 2 sets of slides (a single person tube and a side by side set). But the larger structure is not safe for toddlers. There’s a circular ladder that goes straight up the middle that has an unguarded entry point at the top which is about 20 feet up and could be a serious falling hazard. There are also places where a toddler could fall off the unguarded sides up to about 10 to 12 feet up. This almost happened to my toddler when he was pushed to the side by older kids.”

“Great park for kids. Parking can be a little tricky but once you're in the park, it's wonderful. Climbing wall, swings, slides, and fun structures to interact with for kids. Small Zipline feature for older kids. My favorite things about this park are that there are clean bathrooms nearby and there is no sand or wood chips. The playground flooring is rubber.”

Overview
Herz Playground in Visitacion Valley is one of San Francisco's most complete community playgrounds. The fully fenced perimeter gives parents confidence with young children. Two separate structures address different developmental stages — the toddler zone for ages 2–5 and a larger structure with a climbing wall, two slide sets (including a single-rider and multi-rider option), and a small zipline for older kids. All ground surfaces are padded or turf — no sand or dirt.
