1 / 2Hockey Stop Park
đ East Old Golden Rd, CO
Hockey Stop Park is a free, city-maintained outdoor rink in Golden, CO. Open to inline skates, quad skates, and hockey gear. Features nets, a picnic bench, and a smooth skating surface.
Great hockey rink provided by the city. Not sure why they painted pickle ball courts and have pickle ball gear for hockey stop park; has caused a few situations where we are battling for the rink. Not a lot of rinks in town and there is a tennis court just up the hill for people to play tennis/pickle ball activities.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age kids and teens who skate or play pickup hockey. No admission means families can drop in anytime without planning ahead. Younger kids on skates do well here with adult supervision on quieter weekday visits. No rentals on-site â bring your own gear.

âNice place to skate whether on quads, inline, or hockey. You might want to bring a brook to sweep the fallen leaves and debris. Picnic be bench.â

Overview
Maintained by the City of Golden, this outdoor rink sits at 17545 S Golden Rd and is free to use year-round. The hard surface accommodates roller hockey, inline skating, and quad skating â nets are in place for pickup games. Reviewers recommend bringing a broom to sweep fallen leaves and debris before skating. A picnic bench on-site makes it easy to take breaks. The rink shares space with painted pickleball courts, which can occasionally create scheduling conflicts on busy days.
