1 / 3Hollyglen Park
📍 HollyGlen, CA
Recently renovated neighborhood park with two separate play gyms — one for toddlers, one for older kids — plus baby-and-me swings, basketball and tennis courts, a splash pad, and shaded picnic tables with BBQ grills.
I visited Hollyglen Park with someone, and I was surprised by how cheerful and playful the entire place felt. The moment I arrived, I noticed how many teenagers were enjoying the basketball courts, the tennis courts, and the sandy playground area. The atmosphere felt bright and full of movement, with kids running around and teenagers playing games that filled the park with excitement. It reminded me of how fun it can be to be in a space where people are enjoying themselves without worrying about anything else. The service at the park was friendly because staff members were present and made sure the wading pool was clean and safe for everyone. The value of the park is great because everything is free, and the shaded picnic tables make it easy to stay for a long time without feeling tired. The quality of the courts and the playground equipment was impressive, and everything looked clean and well cared for. The selection of features was perfect for teenagers because they could play basketball, relax at the picnic tables, enjoy the wading pool in the summer, or explore the sandy play area. As I walked around, I felt a sense of joy that surprised me. I did not feel rushed or pressured to move quickly. I had time to look around and appreciate the details of the park, like the way the sunlight hit the playground or the way the laughter of teenagers carried through the air. It reminded me of how important it is to have places where people can simply be themselves. I have lived for twenty four years, but sometimes I feel like I am still discovering what makes me feel young and creative. Being in a place like Hollyglen Park brought out that feeling in a gentle and natural way. I have only visited this park one time before writing this review, but it felt like one of the most enjoyable and teen friendly places I have been to in a long time. I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place to play, take pictures, feel creative, and enjoy an atmosphere that supports their energy and imagination.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A well-rounded neighborhood park for families with children across a wide age range. The two-playground layout means toddlers and older kids each have appropriate equipment without competing for space. Teenagers gravitate to the courts. Birthday parties work well here with shaded tables and an enclosed play area.

“The renovations to this park are amazing! There’s two play gyms. One is for younger kids and the other for older kids. There’s even swings for “baby and me.” I can’t wait to be able to visit when the splash pad opens too. Overall it’s great park! Even the grass is greener now.”

“Lovely neighborhood park. Great for kids. Semi enclosed, not locked, playground with plenty of shade. Toddler pool is nice in the summer, picnic benches are great for hosting bday parties. Bathrooms could be nicer/cleaner which is the only reason this park doesn't get 5 stars.”

Overview
Hollyglen Park's recent renovation added two distinct playground structures: a smaller, lower unit for toddlers with age-appropriate climbing and swings, and a larger structure for older children. Baby-and-me swings are included. Basketball and tennis courts serve older kids and teens, a splash pad operates seasonally, and shaded picnic tables with grills make birthday party hosting straightforward. Trash management can lag on busy weekends.
