Ice at the Galleria is a year-round indoor rink at Houston's Galleria mall, operating since 1972. Over 95 Learn to Skate classes run weekly for ages 3 and up, from beginner through competitive levels.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the young man at the front desk who helped us when our daughter suddenly needed assistance. He acted very quickly and professionally, and we are truly grateful for his help. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but please accept our sincere thanks from our whole family! Beautiful, clean rink and wonderful staff. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends!

“Went here yesterday for skating lessons for my daughter, Snowplow1. It’s overcrowded. The staff is all over the place, but the coaches are nice and professionals. My daughter has learned a lot on her first day. To the skinny young man with the wavy hair that has an attitude, lighten up a little. That’s all I got to say.”

“Poor customer service! We purchased 5 tickets, but about 20 minutes after arriving, we had an unexpected emergency and had to leave. I did not request a refund only the opportunity to return on a different day and use the tickets. Unfortunately, your staff declined this request, which was very disappointing. Given the circumstances, I believe a one-time courtesy accommodation would have been reasonable, especially since we were unable to use the service we paid for.”

Ice at the Galleria sits beneath the Galleria mall's glass dome, visible from the mall's upper levels — a genuinely iconic setting. The rink has produced Olympic champion Tara Lipinski and continues to run a comprehensive Learn to Skate curriculum from age 3 through advanced competitive levels. Over 95 classes per week run across ballet, off-ice training, and on-ice progression. Public skating sessions allow open-ended skating on a single admission.
