Parents beware of free skate/open ice! We have attended skate lessons here for over a year. The ice monitor is a dirtbag. He’s more interested in chatting with his buddies than watching for safety. I’ve watched one particular careless skater for weeks with many near misses. Today he ran into my daughter and didn’t even care or say sorry then left prematurely. Skate monitor thinks it’s okay for adults to skate recklessly to the point of running into little kids. He had no concern for safety and attempted to make it my problem when confronted. All I was asking is that the gentleman be talked to. That maybe he can put his phone in his pocket and be aware he’s not the only one on the ice. If either are fathers they should be ashamed of themselves. I do believe management took the issue seriously and we even found the footage on their camera system. Unfortunately the skate monitor can not be trusted with anyone’s children on the ice. We are leaving their program. The skate lessons have been great! The coaches are amazing just beware for free skate as a parent.
