My son and I went on December 25th. We had a great time. Smooth, 1 hour drive from Camden County. We got on all the rides. The ones we thought would be the most terrifying, were the ones we immediately got on again. Lol. It was a great day for bonding and enjoying time together. Recommend fun for the whole family.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families seeking a quick getaway with kids of various ages, especially those already visiting Atlantic City. The park works well for day trips with manageable crowds, but expect to pay premium prices for food. Consider it more of a convenient addition to an Atlantic City trip rather than a destination waterpark.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Eat a substantial meal before visiting - food is expensive and reviewers consistently rate it poorly
Park on nearby streets for free instead of paying $25-30 for hotel parking
🎟️Bring your own towels and waterproof phone cases to avoid high gift shop prices
🚗Purchase tickets online for potential parking discounts if staying at the hotel

Look no further for a quick or mini get away for the kids, this is the place. I took my girls for a little mini vacation during the winter break and it was great. We went from Thursday to Saturday. The layout of the park works great for a family with several age groups. You can allow the older kids to explore the park without worrying about there location. There is a Kids Cove for the little ones with a water slide and 3ft pool. Each section has life jackets for all ages. There is also an Adult Island to enjoy a moment for yourself complete with a swim up bar. There are a few places to eat while inside, prices are a little high for example its $5 for ice cream, $16 for chicken fingers and fries and $9.00 for 3 churros just to name a few. Note, if you stay at the showboat, your tickets are discounted. Enjoy you will not be disappointed with the Island Water Park.

This park could never be a 5-star park. Let’s start with the positives, then the negatives, and I’ll finish with some tips no one tells you. Positives: • The park is clean. • It’s well maintained. • The staff is friendly. • The bathrooms are clean. • It’s not too busy. • It’s a great choice if you’re in Atlantic City with kids. Negatives: • The park is small compared to Great Wolf or Kalahari. • There are no family rides. • There is only one shower in a huge bathroom. • There’s no proper changing room — no doors, just a curtain. • If you buy through Groupon, the $30 parking fee is not included. • The food is outrageously expensive and low quality. • The signs directing you to the park take you to several different places before you reach the correct entrance. Tips: • Parking: Drop your family off at the Showboat entrance lobby, then park near Atlantic Avenue (about two blocks away). There are plenty of free spots. City meters are $1.50 per hour. • Get there early so you can finish all the rides within an hour. After that, you can relax. • Food: There’s really no solution. Have a good breakfast and plan for a late lunch elsewhere. • Be advised that the entrance to the park is through the hotel lobby. If you already have your tickets, go inside and make a left — regardless of what the signs say. • Buy through Groupon for the best price, or purchase online through the hotel website to get free parking.

Took at 3hr drive from NY to visit this place… Parking: $30 onsite and $25 in a lot across the street. Atmosphere; very warm, very clean 👏🏾👏🏾 staff were polite, and most seemed like they actually love their jobs(no attitudes). Love the waterfall at the entrance 😍 the place was sorta empty when we got there around 12, but people started to come in after 2, and it still wasn’t too crowded. Plenty of seating areas and private cabanas, if you’re into that. They also have an adults only section for a little more $$$ Rides: maybe about six in total, and the lazy river. My boys enjoyed themselves, especially in the surf ride, they gave it 10/10. Food: worst part about this place, no flavor whatsoever(options and prices added in pics)…drinks could’ve been better, but weren’t as bad as the food. The food is on the pricey side, so I would suggest you eat before going, because outside food isn’t allowed inside, and they hand search your bags to make sure of it 😆 they do allow bottled water, so that’s a plus. Overall, it was a good experience, I would definitely take the boys back, just wouldn’t purchase their food.
