1 / 3James Michael Levin Playground đ
đ Manhattan, NY
Preschool and school-age Central Park playground featuring a Sophie Loeb Fountain with carved Alice in Wonderland characters, a deck climber, bucket and adaptive swings, and a large sandbox. Shaded seating for parents. No restrooms on-site.
Very peaceful playground, water feature, sand pit, and play jungle available with a fair amount of seating area. Surrounded by lush green trees.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with babies and toddlers who want a calm, shaded Central Park stop rather than a high-energy destination playground. The adaptive swings make it one of the few Central Park playgrounds suited to children with mobility needs.

âNice clean playground for children. The swings are only for babys. Sandbox. Small jungle gym with a side. Safeâ

âThere really isn't much to do there. And the water in the sprinklers kept shutting off. A little girl had to stand next to the pipe to push the button every time the water stopped. It should be looked into. It was no fun.â
