1 / 2Juntos Family Park
π Glassell Park, CA
Recently upgraded neighborhood park with toddler-friendly features and full wheelchair accessibility. Best visited during busy family hours for safety.
This is a very small park that is cute and tucked away. Very intimate space where families can come chill and have a great time. The park recently got an upgrade and itβs fantastic for the little ones. There are two sections, one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. This park has a lot of wheelchair friendly spaces. Perfect for little ones with mobility challenges. There is a bathrooms. Lots of tables and shade. The water splash area is a little finicky but it turns on randomly for about 5-10 mins at a time. This park has zero parking so prepare to park on the street. I suggest to ride your bike in. It is block to block, you have two entrance points. There are two bike rack stations. Very calm since itβs away from a main Street. Lots of police presence since this area was a gang hot spot years ago. I felt safe, will come more often with my kid. This area has changed a lot over the past 20 years. Itβs a very well deserved upgrade for the community.
π Family Action Verdict
This small neighborhood park works well for families with toddlers and children with mobility needs thanks to recent upgrades and accessibility features. However, parents should be prepared for potential safety issues with intoxicated individuals and plan for street parking only. Best visited during busy family hours rather than quiet times.

βI've been here for a few minutes for the quick stop during my run to drink some water from the water fountain, and still I really liked this park. It was a clean and calm place.β

βIt's a nice, small neighborhood park but there are some sketchy guys who hang out there. They put in a water feature that rarely works and for some reason they had to add a HUGE tent structure to hold the equipment. So unsightly and dangerous as there is now a section of the park you can't see when entering. And of course that's where the sketchy guys hang out.β

βThis park look nice while being there, but only five minutes in. I saw a grown man bathing with the sinks at the park and using the soap as well at the park. He kept going back in and out of the restroom and then back out to the sink and wash himself up parents being there childrenβs being there. And nobody saying anything. I think in order to keep this park. safe. You need Security, some type of security or park officer. I also saw a group of youth in the entrance of the park, hiding their alcohol and just posted and trying to intimidate people And on the opposite side of the park. I saw three older guys blasting, loud music, drinking, but like really drunk, and just the stares they would give made one feel very uncomfortable. The park itself was pretty. I think itβs really new or almost still look really pretty, and there was nice plants nice flowers for the most part. It was a clean park, but it had people that makes you question. At least I wouldnβt want to have nieces nephews, or my children by themselves there just because of the people that are going to the park. They had very interactive games for kids for I want to say even toddlers my 2 1/2 year old Nephew was exploring and really enjoying these games that they had in display.β
