“My daughter spent a lot of money here. It's a beautiful place, but we experienced cold water instead of the warm temperatures they promote. I spoke to the head lifeguard and asked him why the water was so cold and why the waves weren't turning on. He said they were experiencing some difficulties. My three-year-old grandson had a horrible time. We wanted a warm pool to help him get used to water. But the water was so cold that it scared him. He didn't want to be anywhere near any water after that. Later during our stay, when we ordered food, it was truly a nightmare; people were upset because their orders were missing items. We waited two hours for our food, and when we finally received it, a large pizza was missing. The staff said they had run out of dough. The manager asked if we were staying another day—luckily, we were—and said he would give us the pizza then. My daughter was very understanding about this. The next day, we talked to the manager, and he happily gave my daughter a buzzer. We waited again for a few hours, but the buzzer never went off. When my daughter tried to enter the restaurant, the doors were locked. Finally, someone opened the door and explained that she didn't have a receipt, so they didn't make the pizza for her. My daughter remained calm and explained the situation; she received the pizza an hour later. As we were leaving, I spoke to the waterpark manager about everything we experienced. He was genuinely sorry and said he would speak to someone to see if he could get us some vouchers for what we went through. We provided our information. It's been almost a month, but we haven't received any email or phone call about it. You would expect top-notch service given how much you spend at this place, but I guess we weren't important enough for Kalahari Water Park to care. What a shame.”
