Kangaroo Ranch
π Arvada Plaza Area, CO
Kangaroo Ranch offers structured 45-minute kangaroo meet-and-greet sessions and kangaroo yoga classes at its Wheat Ridge studio. Staff provide animal feed, share educational facts throughout, and take photos. Age restriction: 10+ for yoga sessions.
Such a cool experience! We got to visit with Ruby and Hazel. The keepers were so helpful and educational. We learned a lot about kangaroos, the ranch itβs self all while hanging out with these sweet babies! Definitely worth it.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 10 and up for yoga sessions; younger children can join meet-and-greet encounters. Small group caps mean interactions are unhurried and personal. Parents who research for-profit animal encounter models should review the ranch's conservation approach before booking.

βI donβt think I can speak highly enough about Kangaroo Ranch. First, the price for the meet and greet is $70~ for 45 minutes of kangaroo interaction. During this time the staff is giving you food to feed the kangaroos, sharing all sorts of interesting facts about them and they even take pictures of you and the kangaroos for free! In addition, they donβt mind if you take photos or videos, they encourage it. The Kangaroos are very cozy and sociable, 1 of them snuck under my arm and cuddled up on me. That alone was worth far more than the cost of admission! Sometimes I go to a place where itβs a cool experience but poor staff makes it not as fun. That was NOT the case here. Grace and Zoe were AWESOME! They had no issue answering my barrage of questions and they were knowledgeable and also clearly enjoyed what they do. This made the experience twice as fun because they were so awesome. Keaton who I spoke to upon entering was also very lovely and a joy to speak with. They have a gift shop which has actually reasonable prices, so you wonβt kill your budget by getting a kangaroo stuffed animal. Miscellaneous: there is a very clean bathroom on site. They check for food allergies to best accommodate patrons. Like most animals, kangaroos have a very active digestive tract so if that grosses you out, donβt go! 6/5 totally recommendedβ

βI canβt believe somewhere like this exists in Colorado. For profit, via βreputable breeders,β specifically curated for human interaction with no benefit to the animals. Shame on you. These are meant to be wild animals in the fresh air.β

βDO NOT GO HERE. This place is UNETHICAL. these animals should not be EXPLOITED in this way. There are NUMEROUS studies showing how these for-profit encounters are HARMFUL to the animals. DO NOT SUPPORT ANIMAL EXPLOITATION FOR PROFIT. THESE ANIMALS DESERVE TO GO TO A REAL ANIMAL PRESERVE WHERE THEY WILL BE ACTUALLY TAKEN CARE OF.β
