1 / 3Lava Island
📍 Englewood, CO
Foam pits, trampolines, multi-level obstacles, and a café with pizza and wings anchor this Englewood indoor playground. A toddler section is available. Themed birthday party rooms bookable. All adults must sign a waiver before entering.
10/10 I love this place!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for children ages 6 and up who can tackle the larger obstacle and jumping areas independently. A toddler section is present and reviewers rate it as less developed than dedicated toddler venues — families whose primary visitors are under 4 should factor this in. Mixed-age groups with older kids get maximum value here.

“we went here for a birthday party. My son got lost and one of the staff members was able to find me very quickly when he was crying. I was very grateful. There's lots of different obstacles and jumping places to play on great place for kids”

“$13.51 after tax per person for 1 hour. I was astounded that this cost is mandatory for a feeble elderly man slowly inching through their door with his walking cane who had entered the long line farther back, waiting to pay behind us. Our big group of people was equally astounded by the sheer amount of profit received by Lava Island on an hourly basis after seeing the flow of unending customers waiting to enter, and yet Lava Island cannot afford air conditioning. The digital thermostat on the post near the foam pits consistently read 74 degrees on Saturday, April 18, 2026. We were all sweating terribly and it was incredibly uncomfortable! None of us are planning on returning to this horrible location because they won't provide an air conditioned environment while we are all paying customers and burning calories. The air outdoors was cooler! What a sense of relief to leave HOT, uncomfortable Lava Island!”

“If you want to fear your child's going to be abducted take them here. Zero reliable security they are all teenagers who done even know each others names. anyone could walk out with your kid and let's be frank it's not an easy place to have your eyes on your kid the entire time. A better system should be in place To make sure people who should be leaving with your child are. There were definitely plenty of people working but when they all are teens It's hard to hold accountability. This was on a Sunday afternoon for a birthday party that we were there along with 500 other people.”
