1 / 2Lemon Hill Playground
📍 West Philadelphia, PA
Lemon Hill Playground at 39 State Rte 3007 features a playscape designed for ages 3–5, slides reaching up to 6ft, a basketball court, benches, and grassy areas — all within the Fairmount Park system.
Nice playscape designed more for 3 to 5 year olds, though there are two little slides for younger ones they can also go up about 6ft as well. There are benches for sitting around and some grassy areas to play in or eat a snack. There is also a basketball court. Very rarely is the playground ever empty! It is a great place if you are looking for a playground that has more nature around it compared to other playgrounds in the city. Parking is typically easy as well!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children ages 2–6 who want a calm, uncrowded play session within Fairmount Park. Older kids may find the equipment less engaging. The grassy surroundings make it a solid picnic-plus-play combo stop.

Overview
Lemon Hill Playground sits inside Fairmount Park and delivers a well-designed playscape calibrated for toddlers and preschoolers ages 3–5. Structures include two smaller slides for younger children and taller elements reaching about 6 feet. Surrounding benches give caregivers comfortable spots to sit, and grassy areas work well for snack breaks or free play. A basketball court adds an option for older kids or adults. The playground rarely feels overcrowded.
