Buy tickets online and skip the long lines! Weekend adult prices are about $30 per person. This aquarium is pretty large and has a variety of habitats from South America to Asia. You can pet stingrays and sea stars in the ocean explorer exhibit. The otters and leopard were super cute. Admission also comes with a ticket on the EECO Voyager virtual reality ride. It’s about 15 minutes long and requires reservations onsite. Also the cafe has some of the best pretzels ever. $9 for a classic pretzel is pricey but definitely worth it! This place is definitely geared towards kids. There were probably 5 kids to every 1 adult when we went, it was overtaken by kids. It took us about 2-3 hours to see everything and do the VR ride. A fun day trip into SLC. We love aquariums and this one was pretty cool!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 2 and up who want a mix of touch experiences, animal variety, and included immersive tech. The VR slot fills fast β€” claiming it on arrival is essential. Toddlers thrive at the hands-on touch pools; older kids gravitate toward the VR and larger predator exhibits.

β€œIt’s been an absolute pleasure to have been visited this aquarium. I highly recommend the VR experience especially for kids and all the other attractions as well. I’ve spent 3 to 4 hours in the aquarium and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. It’s been a learning experience as well to see the variety of species displayed here. The variety of fishes, birds displayed are beautiful to see and explore. The highlight attractions would be the penguins, otters and the shark emporium. I definitely recommend this beautiful experience for everyone, especially for kids.”

β€œWent to the lantern festival and it was SO fun! Highly recommend going on a weeknight to avoid big crowds. Especially if you want easy photo ops without too many people. The aquarium itself was great too! The otter exhibit is always a favorite, one thing to note: if you do an after hours event the penguins and other birds will be asleep, but just about every other exhibit had really active or visible animals.”

β€œMy 3 year LOVED this place! It was SO AMAZING and he was so captivated to learn more about his friends in the tanks! Definitely a great trip for him to experience the birds, sea animals, zoo animals etc. They had 4 exhibits where we enter for him to see different habitats of animals. We learned their names and facts about them. Highly recommend for children to experience. We will be back soon!”
