Staff is always friendly even at 5:45am, pool is crisp and clean without the super strong smell of chlorine. Temperature varies but it's perfect for me. Parking is good if you show up early, and gets a little hectic during the summer months due to the hiking trail and park nearby but still has decent street parking Showers are clean, only two shower heads so be prepared to wait or share. Lockers are in good condition. This pool is definitely worth going for a few swims!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children of all ages seeking a clean, well-run facility with dedicated kids' areas and swim lessons. The Olympic training facility pedigree ensures high standards, but families should be flexible with timing due to frequent rentals that can disrupt regular swimming hours.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Arrive early for better parking, especially during summer months when nearby hiking trails get busy
⏰Only two shower heads available so expect to wait or share during busy times
đŸŽŸī¸Check availability before visiting as rentals often conflict with regular lap swimming hours
🚗Sunday reservation sign-ups happen randomly between 10am-6pm

“This is one of the cleanest and well kept facilities that I've ever been to. The staff is incredibly well trained, knowledgeable, and so courteous. Also it's well known as an Olympic training facility where many top ranked athletes have trained. They have a small pool as well that is great for kids of all ages and plenty of swim lessons for all levels of ability.”

“REVISED to 4 stars: The pool is now open Sundays which is great. The staff and pool are fantastic. The only complaint I have is that the sign up for swimming reservations is randomly posted on Sundays between 10 am and 6 pm. For people who head to church or the farmers market on Sunday mornings, this is difficult. If reservations could be randomly posted Sundays between 12 and 6 pm or 1 to 7 pm, that would be much better for many.”

“The pool is well kept and the shower facilities are cleaned regularly. Water temperature is constant. The only difficulty with the venue is the rental of the facility which often conflicts with lap swim hours, often reducing the number of lanes to a lower number than the number identified on the website's schedule. Rentals clearly help cover the cost of the schools operation of the facility so lappers are not the priority here. Rentals for the facility always have priority over basic lap swimming, so if you are not flexible with your time and schedule, this facility is not for you. Head to the Santa Monica Swim Center. Also, if you use any unusual props in your workout such as a weighted water polo training ball while you are swimming, you will be told to remove it from the pool. Kick boards, paddles and fins are permitted.”
