1 / 3Middletown Harmony Bowl
π Middletown Township, NY
Established bowling alley with full bar, Chinese food menu, and snack options. Known for inconsistent hours and service issues, so calling ahead is recommended.
It's been over 20 years since I've been at Harmony Lanes. This was the Place for High School North to practice during the Bowling Season and have our High School League Games at. GO LIONS! Glad to see Harmony Lanes is still in full gear and doing well!!! #MiddletownMemories
π Family Action Verdict
This venue is difficult to recommend for families despite its clean facilities and quiet atmosphere. The consistently reported poor customer service, irregular hours, and high prices make it a risky choice. Consider calling ahead to confirm hours and pricing, or look for alternative bowling options in the area.

βReally itβs a nice old school place. Very clean, never crowded, and really good Taiwanese food at the restaurant. Lanes are maintained well and very clean. Staff has always been friendly to us. Not showy, crowded or loud. Perfect!β

βWhen this place is ACTUALLY OPEN it is good, but itβs never open. They donβt seem to have a regular reliable schedule. Iβm writing this review at 12pm on a Sunday. The place doesnβt open until 2pm. Name another business that opens at 2pm on the weekend? I have no idea why this place wouldnβt run more normal hours for a business like this one.β

βSince they deleted my previous review, here it is again: If I could give this place a 0 I would. My boyfriend and I came in today to bowl since everywhere else was full. I walked and immediately saw the lanes were not well kept and the overall atmosphere was extremely depressing and dark. As soon as we even started talking to the lady up front she was giving us attitude. She made us pay before we bowl which came out to $84 (5 games for 2 people and one pair of shoes). Usually no bowling alley does this but we didnβt worry too much. When I went to find a 10 lb ball in their arrangement of balls I had found that there were no lb markings on them and that almost every single ball was either chipped or the finger tips in them are chipped and unable to use. I decided to still give it a try. My boyfriend bowled 1 frame while I bowled 1 and a half before my boyfriend who has not only bowled at the state tournament but also works in a bowling alley turned and said to me this is the worst bowling alley he has ever been to and itβs not worth the money. I agreed and he went up to ask for my money back. I wasnβt expecting the money for the shoes back but I was expecting the $80 back for the games. She started giving my boyfriend a problem and so I decided to go up there. I explained to the woman that we only bowled 1.5 frames. To that she started getting extremely angry and yelling at me that I would only get $70 back since we had bowled a game (which we obviously hadnβt). I explained to her then that the lanes were not in the best conditions and the balls are almost unusable. She then refused to talk to me and refused to give me my money back. I am a minor so I called my mom up and she walked away. She walked back and continue to scream at me and my boyfriend until finally she let up and gave me my $84 back and then told me to get out. Great way to treat not only your customers but to take advantage of a minor. Will NEVER come back here. Absolute trash.β
