Miers Playground, named after Mayor Daniel M. Miers, who served from 1912-15, is a compact, yet spacious recreational area for Hasbrouck Heights, found on Pasadena Avenue, just east of Boulevard. It has a little bit for all ages , with a fenced in children's playground consisting of a mid size jungle gym, seesaws and swings, a pair of half court basketball courts, and a small shelter, with lots of benches spread out over the park for relaxing. A couple of plusses for the park; the children's playground is surfaced with a cushioned surface that absorbs impact, making landing much easier, and there is more than ample shade to make even a hot summer's mid afternoon a more pleasant experience. They also have a little book nook for reading enjoyment.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children across a range of ages who want a reliable, low-key neighborhood park. The fenced playground suits younger children; pickleball and basketball keep older kids engaged. Shade coverage is strong even in the afternoon, making extended visits comfortable.

“I've played in this park since I was 4 years old. That was 52 years ago and I still frequent the park 4-5 times a week with my dog. It's home for us.”
