1 / 2Milwaukie Bowl
📍 Historic Milwaukie, OR
Family-owned Milwaukie Bowl has operated since 1957. Sixteen traditional wood lanes with Brunswick A-2 pinsetters, bumpers, wheelchair-accessible ramps, and balls from 6–15 lbs serve all ages and skill levels.
It had been 20+ years since I'd been to Milwaukie Bowl. Just want to give a shout out to the adult beverage and Shoe rental counter. You could tell they genuinely were enjoying taking care of everyone. The lanes were great and place was clean and well maintained. Hopefully there will be a return visit for me in the near future. Highly recommended!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids of any age, including very young children who benefit from bumpers and lightweight balls. Families wanting a no-frills, nostalgic experience will find it here. Saturday junior league is a strong fit for kids who want structured weekly play.

“Best lanes west of the Mississippi. Wonderful atmosphere. Decent food. Good prices. Classic Local business. But one bad apple can ruin the bunch. There is a man that is extremely blunt and seems to dread actually having to do his job. They also have league nearly every night. This makes it so if you work a normal persons schedule you can bowl one night a week max. Unless you want to wait till 9PM. Maybe we dont have enough bowling alleys but they really dont come off as wanting any new customers, at least that guy doesnt. This is a great space, but that one guy needs to get a new job and they need to be open more often. Once the current customer base passes away, they will have no new customers because they made everyone else feel so unwelcomed.”

Overview
Milwaukie Bowl has kept its original wood lanes and Brunswick A-2 pinsetters since opening in 1957 — automatic scoring is the main modern addition. Bumpers and ramps make it fully accessible for young or first-time bowlers, and a 6–15 lb ball range covers toddlers through adults. An on-site snack bar and Mi Pueblo restaurant handle food. A junior league runs Saturday mornings, and a family doubles summer league pairs one adult with one junior bowler.
