1 / 2Montvale Lanes Inc.
đ Montvale, NY
Family-owned bowling alley since 1958 featuring 38 lanes, bumper bowling, and an authentic retro atmosphere. Popular for affordable rates and uncrowded lanes, though cash-only.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Montvale Lanes and I can confidently say it was an excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a great time. It was pleasantly uncrowded, allowing us to enjoy our games without feeling rushed or cramped. The lanes are well-maintained, and the seating area is comfortable, providing a perfect setting. The facilities are clean and modern, with a good selection of food and beverages available. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a great bowling outing with a nice, friendly atmosphere and plenty of space to enjoy yourself.
đ Family Action Verdict
Perfect for families seeking an authentic, no-frills bowling experience without the high prices of modern entertainment complexes. Great for all ages who appreciate a relaxed, old-school vibe. Be prepared for cash-only transactions and occasional equipment hiccups that come with the vintage charm.

âThis place gives you the old school bowling alley experience. Number one it feels like it was decorated in the 1970s, and I love it. Number two the prices are reasonable. You feel like you can go and have a great time without worrying about how much each game cost. It felt very fair for all. They have plenty of balls available in various weights and finger hole sizes. The bowling equipment itself is well maintained and fully operational. The TV screens have fun graphics. The bar is a classic and the people are great. One of my favorite places to bowl. I'd also add it is kid-friendly.â

âIn a world of multi-level arcade/bowling alley/arcade super-plexes....we all need an affordable, hospitable and calm place like Montvale Lanes. Reminds me of going out to do anything 15-20 years ago (as a kid) when life was affordable and the possibilities seemed endless. Thank you Montvale Lanes for not fixing what ain't broke. 5 stars.â

âVery old school. They dont take credit cards but if course they have an ATM in there so they can receive your transaction fee in top of your purchase for shoes and to bowl. Lanes are good but can use a little bit more oil. So if you have to go here bring cash so they won't double dip on you with a transaction fee at the ATM! If they accept credit cards then would be 4 stars and if they had more arcade games then would be 5 stars. So unfortunately they are at 3 stars only.â
