1 / 2Mother’s Beach Playground
📍 Marina del Rey, CA
Outdoor playground built on sand directly adjacent to Mother's Beach, Marina del Rey. Play structures suit multiple age groups, with immediate access to calm, shallow water for toddlers and young children.
Kids played floor is lava here for an hour.. they loved.. definitely recommend.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and children up to around age seven who want playground variety alongside safe, calm beach water. The sheltered bay keeps the water gentle, which is a meaningful advantage over open ocean beaches for young kids. Sunday mornings combine the playground, beach, and farmers market into a full morning out.

“Great place for families and small children to play. We came here on a Sunday in August at 10:30 am and there was plenty of adjacent parking and a Farmers Market for treats and lunch. The beach was perfect for our 2 year old grandson to play in the water and the playground next door was also fun. Still not very crowed at 1 pm. We loved this discovery.”

“Google maps tells to park on Palawan but much closer to park on panay. Play structures for range of ages. My son really enjoyed the variety of activities. Playground is on the sand and also a soft padding. Can get crowded. Beautiful view. Didn't use but I think I saw public bathrooms.”

“First time at the mothers beach playground my son had a great time. The playground was a nice size for all the kids to play and it was just a few steps to the water. I will definitely go again.”

Overview
Mother's Beach Playground sits on soft sand with play structures for different age groups, padded with additional soft surfacing for younger children. The beach is immediately adjacent — families move freely between the playground and the water's edge. A Sunday morning farmers market operates nearby. Parking is easier on Panay Street than the Palawan approach that Google Maps defaults to.
