1 / 2Playa Del Rey Lagoon Childrens Playground
π Playa del Rey, CA
Del Rey Lagoon playground featuring separate play structures for toddlers and older children, a sandy lagoon beach, grassy picnic areas, and pathways connecting to the lagoon bridge. Supervision required near the water as the area is unfenced.
A wonderful park for kids of all ages. Thereβs a structure for bigger kids and a structure for little kids. My son is 3 and still has a few parts of the park to grow into, itβs been a delight to see him grow over the years at this park. I always feel safe here and the kids who come by are friendly, same with the parents. You can bring a picnic set up and enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the grass. There are a few benches and tables nearby. The playground has fun features with pretty unique climbing structures for a playground. The lagoon is not swimmable but the mallards, pigeons, seagulls and pelicans are fun to watch. Sometimes I bring seeds to feed the crows and squirrels. Thereβs usually plenty of parking at the lot nearby. It can be hard to find parking on weekends or holidays. Definitely a park to visit during sunset time for golden hour in photos and a perfect backdrop of palm trees.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of mixed ages who want a playground with genuine outdoor variety β the lagoon beach, wildlife, and bridge walk extend the visit well beyond standard park time. Unfenced access to the lagoon means close supervision is needed for toddlers who wander.

βThis is such an awesome playground with separate structures for babies/toddlers and older children. The diversity of the play structures is great and keep kids entertained for ages. The fact that the playground is surrounded by a sandy beach to one end, a grassy area at the other and picnic tables to one side really gives parents a lot of opportunities to keep the little ones busy for at least an hour.β

Overview
Playa Del Rey Lagoon Children's Playground sits beside Del Rey Lagoon with two distinct play zones β toddler-scaled equipment and a more challenging structure for older children. A sandy beach area with brackish water sits at one end, grassy picnic areas and benches at the other. Pathways lead to the lagoon bridge. Wildlife including birds, crows, and squirrels frequent the area. Weekend parking fills quickly, with street parking nearby as an alternative.
