Mothers Rest Playground
📍 Fenway–Kenmore, MA
Compact playground at 32 Fenway with separate equipment for toddlers and older kids, partial shade, and a view of the water. No swings on-site. Four adult benches available.
Another cute neighborhood playground. Modern playground equipment. It’s a nice stop if you’re walking around the park. There’s a view of the water from the playground. No swings. Half the playground is shaded. Only 4 benches for grownups. Smaller child and bigger kid play sets. There is also a small drum and xylophone station. This is a pretty small playground, but when we went late Saturday afternoon there was no one there.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best suited to families with toddlers and kids up to around age 8 who are passing through the Fenway area and want a quick play break. Manage expectations on swings — there are none. The small adult seating capacity makes it less suited to large group visits.

Overview
Mothers Rest Playground is a neighborhood play stop in Boston's Fenway area near the Back Bay Fens. Two distinct play sets cater to different ages — a smaller toddler structure and a more challenging set for bigger kids. Half the playground sits in shade. A water view adds a pleasant backdrop from the benches. There are no swings, and adult seating is sparse to four benches. The park works well as a short rest stop during a longer walk around the Fens.
