Nickel-A-Play
π City Center, CO
Nickel-A-Play runs on a nickel-token model with a massive library of classic and modern arcade games. Party packages include admission, tokens, food, and decorations. Group bookings for 8+ guests come with dedicated staff support.
Best arcade for the price and selection of old school games. Great for kids and adults that enjoy video games.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids of any age who want extended play time without burning through money fast. The nickel model stretches budgets significantly. Birthday and group packages are a strong option for school-age parties of 8 or more.

βWe had an event at Nickel a Play. Everything was great! Jamie took care of helping us plan and book the event. She was also there the day of the event. She is incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone had so much fun! We canβt wait to go back!β

βA ton of games are broken. My kids live this place though.β

βWe brought a group of students to play for a couple of hours and when I asked the owner if she could share her WiFi password (as a teacher I need to be able to communicate with other teacher groups) she said "Absolutely not. You don't pay for my WiFi." Well, technically we are by bringing 70 kids to pay for your WiFi. I don't think they know how that works or even how to be kind for that matter.β

Overview
Nickel-A-Play is an Aurora staple built around the nickel-per-game model, making it one of the most budget-accessible arcades in the Denver metro. The floor is stocked with classic and redemption games, and card-based kiosks let families check and reload balances on the spot. Party packages range from silver to platinum tiers and include food from Domino's or Jimmy John's, cupcakes, decorations, and a staff sing-along.
