1 / 3Northwest Playground
๐ The Bronx, NY
Thoughtfully designed playground in The Bronx with water sprinklers, varied equipment, seating around the perimeter, and easy street and rear parking. Popular with families of children ages 0 to 5.
Northwest Playground is an absolute gem for families with kids of all ages, and my two daughters had an amazing time here! The playground is thoughtfully designed with a variety of activities that cater to younger children while still being enjoyable for older ones. From swings and slides to interactive play structures, thereโs plenty to keep kids entertained for hours. One of the standout features is the water sprinklers, which are a lifesaver on hot summer days. My daughters loved running through the water and cooling offโit was such a fun and refreshing experience! The play area itself is clean, well-maintained, and feels very safe, which is always a huge plus as a parent. I also appreciated how open yet compact the space is. Itโs easy to keep an eye on your kids while they explore, and thereโs ample seating around the playground for parents to relax. The design even includes sensory and occupational therapy play options, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. While there isnโt a sandbox or more extensive sensory activities, the existing features are more than enough to keep children engaged. The surrounding area adds to the charm of this park. Thereโs a large open field nearby thatโs perfect for picnics, meditation, or just unwinding after playtime. Parking was surprisingly easy to find on the street, and thereโs additional parking in the back of the park if needed. Overall, Northwest Playground is a wonderful spot for families. The combination of engaging play structures, water features, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a go-to destination for us. My daughters are already asking when we can come backโand Iโm happy to oblige! Highly recommend checking it out if youโre in the area.
๐ Family Action Verdict
Families with children under 5 find this playground well-calibrated for the age group โ the compact layout means one adult can supervise multiple children without moving. Water sprinklers make it a go-to on hot days.

โIt's a great spot for kids of all ages, with plenty of activities in a small but open space, making it easy for parents to watch over them. The design is nice, with lots of seating around the enclosure. The place is clean and has sprinklers for hot days. There are sensory and occupational therapy play options, though it lacks a sandbox or more sensory activities. It has basic slides and swings and can get crowded during the day and weekends, which is good for kids to practice social skills. Parking is surprisingly easy to find on the street, and thereโs also parking in the back of the park next to a large open field for picnic, meditation, or downtime. Enjoy.โ

โI love visiting this park! It is safe, has parking, sprinklers, kids respectfully interacting and socializing. HOWEVER; I MUST SAY THAT THIS PARK NEEDS TO BE TREATED FOR MOSQUITOES. THEY ARE OUT AFTER APPROXIMATELY 5PM AND THEY WILL GET YOU! I AM CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING SKEETER SYNDROME DUE TO THE MOSQUITO BITES I RECEIVED AT THIS PARK.๐ฉโ

Northwest Playground features water sprinklers, swings, slides, climbing structures, and sensory and occupational therapy elements in a compact, easily supervised layout. Seating surrounds the play enclosure for parent visibility. Free street parking and a rear lot serve the facility. The tight footprint means all equipment stays visible from a single vantage point.
