1 / 3Oak Canyon Community Park
đ Oak Park, CA
A well-maintained community park in Oak Park featuring water splash areas for children, multiple playground structures, separated large and small dog park sections, hiking trails, a concert venue, and BBQ grill areas for group gatherings.
This is a beautiful park and great place to see a concert, too. It is dog-friendly, so that is a big plus, too.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families who bring dogs alongside children, as the venue genuinely caters to both. Water splash features are a clear highlight for younger kids on warm days. The combination of playgrounds, trails, and grills makes it a full-day destination for families willing to make a longer drive.

âThis place is so fun! We live about 20-30 minutes away, depending on traffic, and it was well worth the drive. It was a weekday but towards the end of summer break so it was pretty busy. Even being so busy my daughter was able to play with all the water features without having to wait really. If one was busy she just moved on to another and went back when it was free. There's lots of water features to play with so expect your kids and maybe yourself to get wet. We took extra clothes for everyone and had her in her bathing suit with shorts over for the playground slides. There's 2 different playground areas and a huge grassy hill. Plenty of beaches for sitting, grass for picnics and shade for staying cool. We'll definitely be going back again next summer!â

âAs others have mentioned you have to park in the larger Oak Canyon park and walk to this dog park. There are only 2-3 handicapped spots in front of the dog park. Besides that, the dog park is split into large and small dogs. Sadly, when we went on a weekday there were almost no other dogs here. The only other dog there was a larger dog but the other asked if she could play with ours. They just sniffed each other and ended up not playing haha... The park has benches, lots of trash cans for poop. And a shaded watering center for the pups. Very clean overall. It seems to have constant up-keep as well, as we noticed a worker tightening up fences while we arrived. That's why everything was in great shape.â

âBeautiful park, plenty of play area and it even has a path for hiking. This park seems very well maintained. It even has a separated dog park connected as well. Great for family gatherings and even allows BBQ with its seperated grill sections. Visit and have a look. I recommend it!â
