Ocean Wonders: Sharks!
π Brooklyn, NY
NYC's only aquarium features a walk-through coral reef tunnel with blacktip reef sharks, plus 115+ marine species, sand tiger sharks, sea turtles, 4-D theater, touch tanks, and sea lion shows at the outdoor Aquatheater.
This is the first time I ever went and everything was up and running. It used to be under so much construction. The shark tank tunnel is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend going. The whole experience was amazing. Food is definitely overpriced. A lot of fun activities for the kids. They have a cute sea lion show, would definitely recommend. Parking is horrendous especially because we went on the weekend, the lot was full so it took us 30 to 45 mins to find street parking. We bought tickets off of groupon and went straight in as there was no line.
π Family Action Verdict
Strongest for kids aged 4 and up who engage with marine life and hands-on learning β the tunnel genuinely astonishes at every age. Sea lion shows run on a schedule, so check times on arrival and plan around them. Parking on weekends near the Coney Island location is difficult; subway access via the F/Q train is the smoother option.

βAbsolutely my favorite place to visit because I Iβve here. I love animals and it seems like they got a good care from workers. I like to visit this place at least once a half a year. Definitely need to come, donate and enjoy the company of under water friendsβ

βHad an Absolutely WONDERFUL time at the Aquarium yesterday. Empty. Kids are back in school. Beautiful Washed Ashore Art exhibits. Loved the AMAZING shark tank and all of the other fish I saw. Also enjoyed the Aqua theater show. Highly Recommend.β

Overview
Ocean Wonders: Sharks! at the New York Aquarium centres on an immersive coral reef tunnel where blacktip reef sharks, zebra sharks, and rays pass overhead and alongside. Beyond the tunnel, Canyon's Edge offers close viewing of sand tiger sharks, and the Shark Mysteries galleries explain biology through hands-on exhibits. Sea lion shows run at the outdoor Aquatheater, and touch tanks let kids handle invertebrates. A 4-D theater adds a sensory layer for older children.
