I used to work here as a docent as part of my science studies in 8th grade. At the education hall I was able to work one on one with 4th grade students, sharing my knowledge of marine biology with them thru hands on lessons. I worked the touch tank, as well, and was able to share this experience with the kids, too. They learned a lot as did I. It really is a great way for young kids to get inspired and interested in school and the sciences.

Best for families with elementary-age children who want an intimate, educational marine biology experience rather than a massive aquarium adventure. The smaller size makes it manageable for younger kids, and the hands-on learning opportunities are excellent. Just set expectations that it's more boutique than blockbuster.

âThere went many varieties of displays quite small, compared to others but clean and very nice staff, the gift shop has so many little cute stuff, and it's next to the pier so it actually was pretty nice! You can walk around the aquarium, and then go have lunch or get on some rides afterwards,nice weekend family trip. đâ
