1 / 3Pacific Playground
📍 Long Beach, NY
Free outdoor playground on Long Beach sand featuring two full play gym sets — one for toddlers, one for older kids — plus a geodesic dome, swings, and a boardwalk perimeter. Coffee and ice cream available next door.
Open year round and well maintained. During summer months the city of Long Beach brings around containers of water and cups and leaves them for everyone to use. There is also a small shop next door with picnic tables. Plenty of seating in the playground with a boardwalk around the exterior of the playground in the fence that’s perfect for walking while the children are playing.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
An excellent free outing for families with children across multiple age groups. The separate toddler and big-kid gym sets mean siblings of different ages can each find something challenging. Pack a spare set of clothes — kids immediately want to kick off their shoes and dig in the sand.

“A playground on the sand! it is so much fun, the little ones just want to take off their shoes to play in there. This playground is well kept. There are two big sets of play gyms. One for toddlers and one for bigger kids plus a geodesic dome.”

Overview
Pacific Playground sits right on the sand, giving the whole ground surface a natural beach feel. Two separate play gym structures cater to different ages — a toddler-scaled set and a larger rig for older children — plus a geodesic dome and swings. A boardwalk circles the playground for easy supervision as walking. During summer months the city provides free water and cups; a small coffee and ice cream shop sits adjacent.
