Playground
📍 Bitter Lake, WA
This north Seattle playground at N 130th St received a recent renovation featuring new equipment, multiple large slides, swings, and climbing structures suited for ages 3–8, plus an adjacent pickleball and tennis court.
Great playground. It wasn’t remodeled too long ago, and it has swings and a couple big slides. A ping-pong table and a field close by. There’s some parts of the playground structure that are good for increasing the climbing ability of kids between three and eight years old. More challenging than most playground structures. There’s a little pond that’s walking distance away and a Pickleball court next to the playground. There’s bathrooms and a small parking lot near the field and street side parking next to the playground. I’ve been to a lot of playgrounds and parks in Washington State, and I think this one has more to offer than the amount of reviews that it has compared to other playgrounds and parks.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids ages 3–8 who want a challenging, varied climbing and sliding experience on fresh equipment. The adjacent courts and field extend the visit for older kids and adults. Noise from the adjacent sports area is worth factoring in for families with noise-sensitive children.

“What a little surprise! This park apparently has been renovated and the equipments look super new and has a decent size of kids fun area along with a tennis / pickle ball field right next to it. Only draw back is the noise level might be a bit high, but a 1-2 hour play totally works!”
