1 / 3Queens Farm Park
📍 Queens, NY
Queens County Farm Museum — a 325-year-old working farm with free admission. Features goats, sheep, pigs, cows, llamas, and bees seasonally, plus a children's garden, corn maze, barnyard egg hunts, hayrides, and weekend farmers market.
12/12/25 There are two new goats!!! See the photos. This 325 years old farm is a gift to the entire queens and NYC community. It’s free, has history, animals, nature, special events, a library and a cute store. So much stuff! We live nearby, so we are there all the time. Many times, especially off season, you’ll have the place all to yourself. The farm is always beautiful, no matter the season. My favorite is when it snows or during leaf-swept fall. You get a sense of what it was like to live back then. My only recommendation for the farm is to stay open later in the day. It closes by 5, which means that working people can’t visit it with their kids after work. :/
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 1 and up who want genuine farm exposure without leaving the city. Free admission and free parking make it a low-commitment outing. Spring through fall visits maximise animal variety and seasonal programming.

“Perfect little farm when you don't have time to drive far from the city. Things we love: - animals (sheep, pigs, goats, cows, bees, llamas) are seasonal, but usually they have at least 3-4 types to see. - farmers market on weekends (season al) - cutest little library - childrens garden - corn maze and pumpkin patch for Halloween season.”

“What a cool unique experience. Free to get in, free parking and a few bucks for the food to feed some animals. Pay a few bucks for the hayride. Enjoy”

“Always a good time…especially with the little ones. Plenty of space, nice animals, food and gifts add the perfect touch! The “hayride” is disappointing and doesn’t match the price.”

Overview
Operating continuously for over 325 years, this 47-acre farm in Queens is one of New York City's most distinctive free outdoor destinations. A welcome centre, farm store, curated library, and volunteer farmer days supplement the animal and seasonal event programming. Spring through fall delivers the broadest range of activities; pumpkin patch hours differ from general admission times.
