1 / 2Regal LA Live
π Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Modern multiplex in downtown LA featuring reclining seats, a 4DX auditorium with motion and environmental effects, cafe facilities, and a spacious nearby parking structure.
I visited in August 2025 and had such a great experience at this theater! The area was very walkable and the parking deck was spacious and not very far away. The seats inside the theater were very comfortable. While I don't recommend sitting front row like I did lol, I still had a nice view! Staff was very kind as well. Will be back!
π Family Action Verdict
A solid choice for families wanting a comfortable downtown LA cinema experience with reclining seats. Standard auditoriums work well for all ages. Reserve 4DX only for older kids and teens who specifically want the motion effects β the intensity of the 4DX experience is not appropriate for young children or sensitive audiences.

βI wanted to watch Ballerina(John Wick World) and they had several times as compared to other downtown LA locations. This was a good place to watch a movie with comfortable traditional seats that donβt recline back and lots of food options. The screen visuals and audio was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Iβd definitely come back here again to watch other movies in the future.β

βThis isn't my usual go-to theater for films but unfortunately this was the only one with a showing I was able to make time for. So my review is only for my experience for my one and only visit to this theater. When I arrived, the consession stand was under construction. A huge crane just smack in the middle making the appearance of the establishment quite untoward. Wanting to get something to snack on, you had to walk on the opposite side of the building where they sold $7.50 hot dogs and even more expensive drinks. 2 hot dogs, one large drink and one small drink totaled out to $41. The hot dogs literally only being the sausage and bread... $7.50?? You can find a hot dog lady around the corner selling a hot dog with everything on it for $3. That's incredibly predatory especially with our tickets being $32 with a non-refundable "processing fee". Processing fee for what? No idea. So one trip to at the regal was $73 not including parking. While at my usual AMC it's no more than $50 with more food. The seats where fine, reclined to make you think it's worth paying that amount. A small table which was nicer. The only reason I gave it 2 and not 1 star was because they were playing the movie I wanted, which I will not state here but I was happy to see it and plan to see it again on Friday at my usual AMC.β
