đ Central Islip, NY
Central Islip horse farm offering riding lessons across skill levels, open trail rides on 80+ miles of trails, pony birthday parties, and a petting zoo available for private events. Minimum riding age is 5.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children 5 and older wanting an authentic horseback riding experience - trail rides, lessons, or both. The extensive trail network and safety-focused staff make it a standout for families ready to commit to real riding. Younger kids under 5 have sparse options, and the petting zoo requires a private party booking.

âThis place is the best place to trailride. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and always concerned with safety. The horses are well cared for, happy, and gentle. Those things along with over 80 miles of trails make this a rare gem for horseback riding. Also, there arent too many open trail rides on the island. This place is the best 1 hour vacation you take. Being the youngstets theyll love it .â
