1 / 2Shipwreck Cove Spray Park
đ Bay Shore, NY
Compact and well-designed spray park in Bay Shore directly adjacent to a sandy beach, playground with zip line, and basketball courts. Lifeguards on duty throughout operating hours.
Super clean, lots of lifeguards on staff, fun for a variety of ages and locals. The hours are 10-5:45 and then afterwards you can still have fun in the sun going into the ocean or playing basketball, ziplining and climbing the jungle gym next door. Plenty of chairs, tables and lounge chairs. Not a bad idea to bring your own as well. No food is allowed, but there are picnic tables around it with plenty of shade. Definitely recommend. Price is a bit hefty, but awesome for a special treat or free with the pool pass.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children spanning toddler through early teen who want water play, sand, and playground equipment without driving to multiple locations. The zip line adjacent to the beach is a genuine draw. Bring water diapers for the youngest swimmers and arrive early to secure seating at the tables and lounge chairs inside the spray area.

âA small but awesome spray park. Lots a fun for kids and adults. I like to get in early to get a table of my choosing. A few yards from the park is a little beach not good to be in but there's sand and a park with slides swings and a children's zip line. There's also a small store with food and drinks. And beer!â

âSmall water park, more of a sprinkler park. Great for small kids. Adjacent to beach and playground with cute zip line. Not free, price depends on where you're a resident. Not enough bathrooms. Small snack shack. Paid meter parking (credit card only, quarter slot out of service) overall a nice summer day with the fam.â
