📍 Simi Valley, CA
A peaceful open-space park a few blocks south of the freeway in Simi Valley. Picturesque natural scenery, well-maintained grounds, and free entry. Minimal playground equipment — the draw is calm outdoor space.
Is this park from movie digging up the marrow lol it exists 😂
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a quiet, free outdoor escape without playground crowds. Young children who enjoy open space, rocks, and the chance to spot horses nearby will find plenty to explore. Families expecting play structures or facilities will be disappointed — manage expectations accordingly.

“This is located within easy drive a few blocks straight south from the freeway. It is not busy on this Wednesday afternoon in February. The scenery is picturesque, and the ground in good shape for a picnic. There is a horse ranch further south,, the kids may get a glimpse of horses taking their walk exercises on the paths.”

Overview
Rocky Pointe Natural Park sits just off the freeway with easy access and rarely draws crowds. The grounds are well maintained with natural rock formations and open space suited to picnics and unhurried nature walks. A horse ranch to the south occasionally brings horses into view along the walking paths. Facilities are minimal — this is a scenery-and-fresh-air destination, not an adventure playground.
