1 / 2Rosemead Aquatic Center
๐ Rosemead, CA
Community aquatic center offering well-regarded swim lessons and programs for all ages. Clean outdoor facilities with good value, though staff consistency can vary.
Very nice and well organized swimming center. Price for summer swim lessons is unbeatable, and the teachers are beyond my expectations. There is no hot water in the shower or I didnโt use it correctly.
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for families seeking affordable swim lessons at a generally clean facility, but be prepared for potential staff inconsistencies and crowding. The aquatic programs are well-regarded, but some visitors report concerning experiences with rule enforcement that may vary by staff member.

โThe Rosemead Aquatic Center is a decent place for swimming and family time. The facilities are generally clean, and the staff is friendly. However, it can get very crowded during peak hours, and the parking situation isnโt the best. Also, some of the rules feel a bit too strict, which takes away from the fun sometimes. Itโs good for the community, but thereโs definitely room for improvement.โ

โThe pool is decent overall โ itโs clean and usually not too crowded. However, the water temperature can be inconsistent, and the bathrooms could use more frequent cleaning. Itโs a nice place for a quick swim, but thereโs definitely room for improvement.โ

โSubject: Concerns About Inconsistent Rule Enforcement at Rosemead Aquatic Center Dear Rosemead Aquatic Center Management, On the afternoon of July 20, 2025, I visited your facility with my family, including my 5-year-old and 7-month-old son, and 8-month-old daughter, hoping for a pleasant and relaxing Sunday outing. Upon checking in, the young staff membersโappearing to be high school or college studentsโinformed us that baby strollers were not allowed. We complied with what we believed was a facility rule. I went back to the parking lot to reposition a baby stroller, came back, and held my daughter while watching my wife and son enjoy the pool with his best friend. However, I was deeply disappointed to observe two non-Asian families using strollers inside the facility without any apparent restriction. This inconsistency felt disrespectful and discriminatory, casting a shadow over what should have been a joyful family experience. When I raised this concern with a staff member at the front desk, who appeared to be Hispanic, she explained that โsome people donโt listen to the rule.โ I responded that if the rule is not consistently enforced, it cannot be considered a rule at all. This experience left me feeling unfairly treated and deeply frustrated. Rules must be applied equally to all visitors, regardless of background, to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment. The lack of consistent enforcement not only undermines the facilityโs policies but also risks creating perceptions of bias, which no family should have to endure. I urge you to take the following steps to prevent similar incidents: 1. Clarify and enforce the stroller policy uniformly for all guests. 2. Provide staff training on consistent application of rules and cultural sensitivity to ensure fair treatment. 3. Post clear signage about policies to avoid confusion and ensure compliance. I hope you address this matter promptly to restore trust in your facility and ensure that all families feel respected. I would appreciate a response outlining how you plan to handle this issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further discussion. Sincerely, Bosco Kโ
