1 / 3Roseville Ice Arena
π Roseville, MN
Built in 1969, Roseville Ice Arena offers public skating, open hockey, ISI-certified figure skating lessons, adult long blade sessions, and a free 1/7-mile indoor walking track.
Great! There is an indoor and outdoor skating rink. If you like to walk, you can walk on upper level of the rink for free on certain days and times.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids of any skating age β ISI-certified lessons provide a structured progression path from first-time beginner upward. The indoor walking track lets non-skating parents stay active and warm during sessions. Public skate sessions are well-maintained, and the large rink size means even busy sessions leave room to move.

βThe Oval is my favorite place to skate in the twin cities. The ice is always well maintained, and itβs big enough that even when itβs busy, thereβs still space to skate freely. Be sure to check the schedules online as the hours are limited and may not match up with whatβs on Google Maps.β
