“Dissappointing atmosphere despite nice facilities. The playground itself is well-kept and in a beautiful location, but the overall atmosphere isn't very welcoming. Most people know each other already. Many of the kids mirror their parents in having cliques and social status. Unfortunately, this often comes across as exclusionary or unkind to new children trying to join in. My child's simple greetings are often met with cold shoulders and mean mugs. Toys there are a common source of drama, from kids going unchecked snatching toys and/or keeping a stash to themselves. Ive been to this park steadily for 2 years now, so i'm confident in saying this is the one and only unfrendliest park we've been to. I've given it several chances, even after my son (who wasn't even 2 yet at the time) was pushed down the stairs by an older kid on purpose, as the father watched and said nothing. In general most parents seem pretty uninvolved here compared to other parks with more diverse families (cultural, economical, racial, etc.) where kindness and inclusivity is encouraged.”
