I really enjoyed the Santa Barbara Zoo. It's not as big as the one in LA, but very cozy and beautifully maintained. I didn’t expect to see penguins here! Highly recommend it to anyone wondering whether to visit—don’t hesitate. Go for it, you won’t be disappointed.

“Great medium sized zoo. Grounds are very clean, beautiful and well maintained. Terrific diversity in species. All habitats and animals reflect a very caring staff. Lots of areas designed to give kids space and things to play on and with. Highly recommend visiting this zoo.”

“Great zoo. Mornings are best. Ample parking. Or visit during the winter holidays and enjoy Zoo Lights. Great display of handcrafted silk-covered lanterns in shapes of animals and flowers. More than 50,000 LED bulbs.”

“Smaller zoo but love that you can walk inside a Kangaroo habitat and brush goats. Seeing the birds up close was fun aswell. The train ride around the park was informative and the train operator was very nice.”
