1 / 2SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium
📍 Auburn Hills, CA
Michigan's largest aquarium featuring an underwater tunnel, rescued sea turtles, interactive touchpools, and over 2,000 marine creatures. Best for families with young children seeking educational marine encounters.
We visited for my niece's birthday and I think I was the one who had the most fun. I was absolutely in awe of all the beautiful sea life and the calming lighting and music throughout the Aquarium. The animals all seemed happy and vibrant, and many were interacting with us at each section, especially the sting rays .... The tanks were all clean and well maintained. I particularly loved the moon jellyfish, I could have watched them all day. If you need a place to lower your blood pressure, this is it.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with young children who enjoy marine life and interactive exhibits like stingrays. The aquarium offers a calm, educational experience but may disappoint those expecting a larger facility. Plan for a shorter visit and manage expectations accordingly.

“It’s a very good aquarium. A little more direction at the beginning would go a long way. They offered some instruction and tickets to punch at specific locations. I was not aware of any of that. Also, it could be a little cleaner. There is hand sanitizer, but it looked like a lot of the glass hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Every kid wants to touch the glass. Overall, a good experience.”
