1 / 3Sender One Climbing - Westwood
π Westwood, CA
10,000 sq ft indoor bouldering gym in a converted movie theater near UCLA, featuring a 60-degree Kilter board, weight room, yoga studio, weekly route resets, and youth programs plus birthday parties for ages 6+.
Love this climbing gym. Iβve only been here once for an event I hosted but canβt wait to come back! Itβs small and has a very family/community feel to it. Staff were super friendly and the climbs were challenging but fun. Thatβs why we climb tho!
π Family Action Verdict
Best suited for families with older kids and teens who are committed to climbing and want access to quality problems with frequent resets. The community is welcoming to newcomers, and the smaller gym size creates a tight-knit atmosphere. Very young children will find the space more challenging to navigate.

βNice smaller bouldering gym. They have a 60Β° Kilter board, weight lifting area and a yoga room. They have enough climbs for every grade and there is a new set almost every week. Furthermore, they have fun events and a really kind crew.β

βNice wall. Still new, well maintained. Few things: 1) Small. Not a lot of room, was not very crowded when I was there, but definitely can get packed. 2) No moon/kilter board 3) Pricey for what you get - 30 something dollars for a day pass 4) So much face - most of the wall is face/slab, which means that around v6-v7 you start getting mean cripms, which I like, but not for all... Nice central mushroom. To sum up, nice experience, on the pricey side, would expect more.β

Overview
Sender One Westwood occupies a converted movie theater in the UCLA precinct. The 10,000 sq ft bouldering space has taller-than-average walls, a 60-degree Kilter board upstairs, a weight area, and a yoga studio. Problems span all V-grades with near-weekly resets. Youth programs, summer camps, and birthday party bookings are available. The gym is compact β crowds can make the space feel tight on busy sessions. Day passes are on the higher end for LA gyms.
