1 / 3Skate N' Fun Zone
📍 Manassas, VA
Skate N' Fun Zone combines roller skating with a laser zone, arcade, and play zone. Learn-to-skate classes run for tots under 6 through adults. Neon décor and upbeat music define the atmosphere.
I’ve been coming to Skate N Fun Zone in Manassas since my oldest was a child, now she’s in college. I have three daughters, and every year, it’s our go-to for fun. The music is always upbeat, the neon décor is awesome, and the vibe is just so lively. Food is simple, like pizza and wings, but it hits the spot. I do think they could add a bit more security, but overall, it’s a fantastic place and feels safe.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids ages 6 and up who want more than just skating. The laser zone and arcade keep non-skaters engaged. Tot skating classes make it workable even for the youngest kids. Staff communication has drawn repeated criticism — worth setting expectations before kids arrive.

“I have been to this rink many times with my nieces and nephews. It’s usually a fun time, but the staff here can be extremely harsh and rude. It would be a 5 star experience if the staff had better communication skills. This has happened several times. It is not a one time incident. They are abrasive with kids and have made my neice cry after yelling at her for being too tall for the play area by a couple inches. Even though there were some very old kids in there that day who did not get yelled at. This last visit was really bad though. The short curly haired girl working at the ticket counter was very grumpy. Our patronage seemed to be a big inconvenience to her. I’ve never had such a bad experience here right off the bat. She was combative about the kids passes, and just seemed pissed off the whole time we were there. Apparently, they don’t take screen shots of kids free passes anymore. I could have gotten the app and download it and logged in with my sister’s account but my service was not good there so I just gave up. They are her kids so I don’t have an account. So apparently only the parent can use the free passes. We speculated they were really understaffed or something to cause her stress. Even so, they wanted us to buy a skate tool to tighten up some wheels when we asked if they had one. Which is a safely issue but they didn’t care. Later she was working the concessions when we got dippin dots, one of the kids immediately spilled their dippin dots and she said we had to pay for them again. I asked if we could just get a replacement since she didn’t even get a bite. She said she could do it this time but wouldn’t do it again the next time. As if we were trying to scam them or something. Even though I cleaned up the whole mess and she didn’t have to deal with that. They also didn’t play any games this day, part of why we thought they might not have enough staff. Other issues I have seen at this rink is that they don’t really stop ppl from skating recklessly. Even though they have more rules then any roller rink you will ever attend, they don’t actually value safety where it matters. One time one of our kids was taken out by a boy who had been skating too fast and showing off all night. He crashed into our kid and they broke their tailbone which was a long recovery and honestly set their skating back. Just be weary about the tension you might experience dealing with staff here. They aren’t as nice as they used to be.”
