1 / 3SoundWaves at Gaylord Opryland
π Donelson, TN
Two lazy rivers, multiple water slides including a multi-person raft ride, indoor and outdoor pools, and private cabanas. Part of the Gaylord Opryland resort complex.
10 out of 10 recommend! We recently went to Great Wolf Lodge in Georgia and the overcrowding was too much for me and I was worried this would be like that but let me tell you, it's not! At all! There is not one but two lazy rivers (and they actually keep you moving unlike some i have been in,) there is amazing one person, two person, or 4/5 person tubing slides that are so much fun for all ages! There is an area for little toddler aged kids that was so cute and fun and also an area right beside that for kids who are a little bit older maybe 4ish and up aged? The wave surfer was awesome and the people who work on that particular thing, are incredible and go out of their way to help make sure each person knows what they are doing and have plenty of chances at it. Literally they are in front of the person surfing/boogie boarding and walk them through each move (i mean getting down on the ground teaching every move as they do it) I was seriously impressed with that! Also, there is a bar/restaurant inside the water park. Plus, on the top floor there is an adult only bar which has an infinity pool, i have young kids so we didnt go up but looked very nice! They also have a "Human Dryer" that is like this thing you stand in and its like a huge hair dryer. Very, very clean water park, no overcrowding, something for everyone, the list goes on and on of the pro's of this place! If you have been debating taking your family and are on the fence about it (I get it cause its super expensive to go to any water park these days) this is your sign to DO IT!!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! Also please remember that our trip was in April so the outside part of the park was not yet opened for the season so my review is only in regards to the indoor part!
π Family Action Verdict
Strong pick for families staying at Gaylord Opryland or willing to pay resort-level admission for a polished, well-managed water park. Less crowded than comparable parks, making it more comfortable for families with younger children. Cabana reservations are worth it for full-day visits.

βTons of fun! I recommend earplugs if youβre going to be there all day since it can be pretty noisy. Also definitely recommend getting a cabana if you can afford it!β

βWe had so much fun here. The water slides were a blast. The kids ran and climbed stairs all day long. The big multi person raft tube ride was the absolute best. We had a private party room reserved for lunch and the pizza was pretty good. We tacked on a couple of delicious salads and even the kids liked those. We spent the whole day there, and nobody got bored. The best thing about it was we didnβt have to worry about getting sunburned because it was all indoor. HOLLER!β

Overview
SoundWaves spans indoor and outdoor sections at the Gaylord Opryland resort, giving it a year-round advantage over open-air parks. Two fully operational lazy rivers keep guests moving β reviewers specifically note they actually flow, unlike sluggish alternatives elsewhere. The multi-person raft tube ride is singled out as the standout attraction. Kids can sprint up stairs to reach slides and burn energy all day.
