Came here with my 6 year old and she had a blast. The playgrounds (2) are great with some older-style bars and slide-down poles that you don’t see at newer playgrounds anymore. There are regular swings and accessible swings and plenty of grass to run around on. It was clean and well-kept. The parking lot is a good size too.

Families with toddlers should inspect sand areas for ant activity before letting children play. Bring hand sanitiser and check the ground before sitting or playing — maintenance is inconsistent.

“Stearns is nice, but needs a total playground renovation! The playground is still made up of sand. I also noticed several Red ant colonies on the sand playground. Be careful with little ones.”
