Really fun place for small kids. They recently remodeled the entire playground. They added all new playground equipment. Parking can be a bit tough, but not too bad. There's also an additional parking lot across the street. It's also a very nice area. Great view of Lagoon. (I believe) it's a pretty safe area, and it's always kept up. I see lots of small kids crying πŸ˜₯😭😒 as they leave, so I think they'd agree it'safun place! 😊

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with young children who want playground time paired with genuine outdoor exploration β€” the lagoon beach, wetlands walk, and bridge add variety that a standard park can't match. Supervision is straightforward as the park is well-maintained and the beach is calm. Arrive early on weekends when parking fills quickly.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Pack swimwear β€” the brackish lagoon beach is suitable for wading and swimming
⏰Overflow parking is available across the street when the main lot is full
🎟️Shaded picnic tables are plentiful β€” bring lunch and make an afternoon of it
πŸš—Walk the wetlands path with kids and read the educational restoration plaques together

β€œAmazing little known tucked away park. Playground for the kids, sunshade covered tables to eat and hang out at, a beach for swimming fresh water / brackish , marine wildlife and freshwater lagoons with educational plaques to explain the wetlands and restoration efforts, no boating unless kayak or canoeing, no motors, no waves, just a great clean neighborhood park with a beach ⛱️”

β€œSuper cute community park with playground for young kids, entrances to the lagoon beach, and pathways to the bridge across the lagoon. Bathrooms were clean for public park bathrooms. Lots of great tables to sit and picnic near the playground and in the grass with lots of shade. Wish we lived closer!”
